Founder Rebecca Benneyworth started the company in 1986, working part-time while raising a family in Stroud. Since then, Rebecca has become a nationally renowned tax lecturer as well as an advisor to HMRC. In 2012 she was awarded an MBE for services to taxation. A life-long member of the Gloucestershire community, Rebecca’s passion for helping local businesses to thrive remains her long-term focus.

Now joined by three of her five adult children who have followed in her footsteps, the thriving family practice is underpinned by Rebecca’s wealth of experience in simplifying the tax process and guiding clients to financial success. Rebecca works closely with clients from all walks of life to support them in building their businesses and dealing with the tax authorities.

Digital tax

In 2016, following the announcement by HMRC of a 5-year roll-out towards a fully digital tax service, Rebecca Benneyworth & Co became a digital accountancy practice, supporting clients with as much support as needed in the ‘brave new tax world’ making the most of business benefits from digital developments.

Reducing our carbon footprint

We are committed to reducing our carbon footprint as far as possible. We already have electric cars and hope to soon have solar panels installed at the office. We want our electric cars to run on sunshine instead of fossil fuels.
